Agree with you in general, but some points to add or comment;
1. It is a false and ridiculous concept to think that you needa revise English. So to say, English is rather a skill than a subject. If you always think that it is used when it is needed (to pass in an examination, for example), then my advice is that you should forgo English completely. Your English skills are to be polished right in your everyday's times. You should approach English with every possible chance.While you are doing the shopping, when you are on the train or on the bus........any time, anywhere and any way you like, for example, you are taking a trip via MTR to school, it is possible that you can see a lot of commercial ads, many of them in English...have you ever spent time considering what all those stuff are about? It is true that you can explore through English everywhere whenever you have the heart in making good out of it. If you just wanna depend on the couple of nights before your examination for "revision" and dream that your Enlish will be improved sharply, then make that dream in the nights coz they cannot be realized. Take my sincere advice: there is no such thing as a free lunch in the world, if you wanna get something, you must have paid something first, whether it is your time or your commitments~
